Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations"). Pro-tip: The CommonSense tool can help you find the best category for your image.

Red-backed shrike

Hello Szabi237, thank you for the information about the place and sorry for bothering you again. But we have some doubts about the picture. Since it seems to be taken in February (which is stated in the metadata) it is unlikely that this can be the work of a red-backed shrike. The crickets have more probably been impaled by a great grey shrike (L. excubitor). On the other hand it is also unlikely that you can find crickets in february. So something is wrong, maybe with the date of the camera?? Can you tell me, why you think it was prey of a red-backed shrike and when the picture has really been taken? Please Add Locations to Photos?

Hello Szabi237, I saw your nice photo File:Garrulus_glandarius628.JPG and am frustrated that you did not put in the description where it was taken. Wikipedia has many city pages that could use nice photos of nature. Unfortunately, many people who take nature photos neglect to put some kind of location to the photos so they might be added to a city or other article. Thank for the information. I added a category to your photo, Category:birds of Romania. Maybe you can go through your other photos in Wikipedia, particularly of any birds and animals, and update their descriptions similarly? I will give you my own example: Yesterday, I took a photo of a Great Blue Heron File:Wildlife-Bird-1723.jpg. There are already many photos of Great Blue Herons on Wikipedia, so I do not believe mine will be used for the Great Blue Heron page. However, I took the photo in the city of Port Orange, Florida. There are no other photos of Great Blue Herons who are citizens in Port Orange, so I know I can add the photo to the Port Orange page. :-) Gamweb (talk) 21:09, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

Boletus regius

Boletus regius

Hi, I studied your picture of Boletus regius a bit. I'd like to ask, if the pictured mushroom couldn't be in fact Boletus subappendiculatus, another member of Appendiculati section. I found three signs, which would indicate Boletus subappendiculatus: slight blueing (not typical for European Boletus regius), color of the pileus (more brown than pink) and substrate (Boletus regius is related to broadleaved trees, Boletus subappendiculatus to coniferous trees).
