about the shadows[edit]
Hello. Here there are hundreds of images about Shadows What is the problem — Preceding unsigned comment added by ديفيد عادل وهبة خليل 2 (talk • contribs)
- Hello. Look, please, at Commons:Project scope: the project needs only images with some educational value. And compare the quality of the images which I proposed to delete and the other images in their categories. Stas (talk) 20:00, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

Moon DRs[edit]
I've requested at COM:AN that your various moon related DRs be rolled up into a Commons:Deletion requests/Mass deletion request. The section is 'Moon DRs'. Ultra7 (talk) 13:39, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for the message. Maybe, one single request will be more easy to work with. On the other hand, the images are rather different. Stas (talk) 22:18, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
apology[edit]
Hey, I'm really sorry for the Langmuir category thing. But thanks for putting up with me and I learned something from you. So thank you. EChastain (talk) 23:47, 9 March 2015 (UTC)
- No problem at all, colleague, no reason for apology! This categorization thing is not very important at all. Thank you for a constructive dialog! Cheers, Stas (talk) 00:57, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
File:Noctis Labyrinthus.jpg[edit]
Hi Stas. I revert your image because it's too small, the image needs to be full resolution as original file, keep this image. Thanks. :) --Jcpag2012 (a.k.a. John Carlo) from Wikimedia Commons 00:48, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Jcpag2012. Look please at my comment there. Why the image needs to have the same resolution as original file? This is a false resolution, it does not correspond to the real detalization. The big image is senselessly stretched, and it does not have more details than the small image. You can take any picture and stretch it 10, 100 or 1000 times, but it would not become better. No new details will appear there. It will become more bulky (=worse), and that's all. And I specially choosed for the diminution the best interpolation algorithm, which reduced the moiré pattern most effectively. Size about several hundred pixels is the most adequate size for this photo. Even with such a small size it looks somewhat blurred.
- What is the sense of turning the north down? Position "north is upward" is definitely the standard one. Any other position will require a special comments for the readers. Stas (talk) 01:29, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

- @Stas000D: keep my image, do not revert it again. Thanks. :) --Jcpag2012 (a.k.a. John Carlo) from Wikimedia Commons 02:17, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Jcpag2012: Why? New image is definitely worse. If you still think that it has any sense, you can upload it under an other name. And don't forget about a comment about the orientation, otherwise the picture will be misleading. Stas (talk) 02:36, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Stas000D: Not worse, but it's good, it's the same with high resolution from image link. Do not revert image again, thanks. :) --Jcpag2012 (a.k.a. John Carlo) from Wikimedia Commons 02:43, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

- To both of you, I've reverted to the last good version of this image. I'll be leaving a strongly worded message on Jcpag2012's talk page. — Huntster (t @ c) 15:51, 20 May 2015 (UTC)

- @Hop on Bananas: I don't see the necessity to discuss the same file in 2 DRs, but if so, you must link them with each other. Stas (talk) 00:47, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
