Interwiki on template Authority control

Hello Steinsplitter, would you consider adding the interwikis from Wikidata even through the template {{Authority control}} as well as it happens now with {{On Wikidata}}? This way we could use either according whether there are data for authority control or less on the Wikidata item, and still having the interlinks in automatic way. -- SERGIO ^{(aka the Blackcat)} 12:58, 14 September 2016 (UTC)

I was pinged on my page. While I know a bit about Wikidata, I don't know a thing about "Authority control". But also, the request here is pretty unclear to me; I suggest that you'd do well to state exactly what it is that you want to have happen before trying to find someone to do it. - Jmabel ! talk 14:40, 14 September 2016 (UTC)

Hello Jmabel, the matter is pretty simple, but I don't know the structure of templates on WikiCommons so I prefer not to touch them especially if they are widespread. Briefly, {{On Wikidata}} imports on Commons a list of wikilinks for the item on Wikidata. {{Authority control}} which is used alternatively to {{On Wikidata}} in those case whether the topic of a given category has on its Wikidata item some information like VIAF, LCCN and so on, adds the Wikidata item but not the wikilinks to the subject. Thus I wondered whether it was possible to add that feature to {{Authority control}} either. -- SERGIO ^{(aka the Blackcat)} 21:17, 14 September 2016 (UTC)

Sorry: more advanced templating than I've done, and while I've done stuff on Wikidata, I've never accessed Wikidata templates data from elsewhere. Delinker

Hallo Steinsplitter, lässt es sich vielleicht irgendwie machen, dass im CommonsDelinker das {{done}}-Bapperl bei den cat moves nicht am Ende, sondern am Anfang der Zeile gesetzt wird? Genau. Durch den Zeilenumbruch erscheint es jetzt je nach Zeilenlänge (wenigstens bei mir) mal rechts und mal links, da muss ich bei jeder Zeile genau hinsehen. --Achim (talk) 17:29, 16 September 2016 (UTC)

Achso, wegen der Bildschirmbreit. Das Done am Anfang währe vermutlich etwas seltsam. WIllst du das Done komplett enfernt haben (würde mit js oder css gehen)? Alternativ könnte man die Schriftgröße für die Seite anpassen (in deinen common.css) --Steinsplitter (talk) 18:09, 16 September 2016 (UTC)

Организационният екип на фотоконкурса „Уики обича паметниците“ те кани от 15 септември до 14 октомври да участваш на тазгодишното издание на конкурса и да помогнеш за съхраняването на културното наследство на България и илюстрирането на свободната енциклопедия Уикипедия. Изпратихме ти това писмо, тъй като знаем за твоята съпричастност към уикипедианската кауза от участието ти в някое от досегашните издания на състезанията „Уики обича паметниците“ или „Уики обича Земята“ през 2015 или 2016 година.

Отново търсим твоите снимки от културните паметници на България – манастири и църкви, възрожденска архитектура, автентични крепости, музеи и музейни експонати. И тази година няма ограничения на броя снимки, с които можеш да участваш в конкурса. 25, 50, 100 или повече – зависи от теб! Както всички фотографски конкурси в Уикимедия, най-важното условие е, че трябва да предоставиш снимките си под свободен лиценз, без водни знаци и други надписи с декларации за авторството върху тях. Още за правилата на конкурса можеш да прочетеш оттук.

Най-добрите 10 снимки, които журито класира от националния кръг на конкурса, ще продължат в международния кръг на „Уики обича паметниците“, където ще представят страната ни. А авторът на снимката-победител на международния кръг ще получи като награда участие на световната уики-конференция „Уикимания“, която ще се проведе през август 2017 година в Монреал, Канада.

Но по-важното е, че твоите снимки междувременно ще помогнат за илюстрирането на съществуващите статии в Уикипедия, а защо не и да вдъхновят написването на нови статии, свързани с българската култура и история! The files are from Algeria, The file here citted Two Christian sisters. Kabylie, Algeria. ca. 1905 - 1920 || Vintage postcard; publisher Mission of the White Fathers, the other file do not mention the year is only mention Famille chrétienne de Grande Kabylie, but the picture is very old more than 70 year. so they may be fit under {{pd-old}}?. sorry for asking alot of question.--Jobas (talk) 06:16, 24 September 2016 (UTC)

I would like to help with the aformentionned backlog, but I would like to understand what is meant by :
"So make sure the image is NOT a screenshot, wallpaper or promotional poster".

What are the steps to make sure is is not such a reproduction, except obvious common sense and a look trough Google Images?

2 Bilder vom Kurhaus Bad Hamm löschen

kannst du bitte für mich nochmal ganz unbürokratisch zwei Fotos für mich löschen? Ich habe mal wieder bei zwei Bildern die Exif-Daten vergessen. Das habe ich bei den zweiten Version nachgeholt. Daher können die beiden ersten Versionen gelöscht werden.

Rotate error!

File:Vranové 2.díl - kříž proti čp. 131 (1).jpg contained {{rotate|90}} request but SteinsplitterBot did ° (EXIF-Orientation set from 6 to 1, rotated 180°) instead. --ŠJů (talk) 01:28, 29 September 2016 (UTC)

@ŠJů: This is how MediaWiki rotates files based on EXIF automatically. If you open the files (both) in the Browser itself you will see that the files has been rotated correctly. --Steinsplitter (talk) 10:51, 29 September 2016 (UTC)

@Steinsplitter: Regrettably, 90° is not 180°. The two images were requested to be rotated 90° and were rotated incorrectly 180°. That's why they need 270° rotation now to correct the error. The wrong rotation is visible at the image pages as well as in the Gadget-GallerySlideshow browser. --ŠJů (talk) 18:01, 29 September 2016 (UTC)

@ŠJů: You have to calculate the exif-orientation. If the exif-orientation (set by the cam) is wrong/or parsed wrong by mediawiki, the rotation won't be correct. And it is, unfortunately, impossible to fix (bot would require eyes).

For example: Image rotated by 90° and EXIF-Orientation (set in the exif) set from 6 to 1 = 180° in total. Ignoring the exif-orientation would cause that files with correct orientation are getting rotated wrong - it is tricky. And it is technically impossible to fix, the bot would require eyes O_O. :-( --Steinsplitter (talk) 18:29, 29 September 2016 (UTC)

What I can see is that the photos were 90° wrong, they have been requested to be rotated 90°, but they were rotated 180° and that's why they are wrong again. If the bot had followed the request exactly, the images would be correct now. Simply said, 180° is surely not 90°, independently on the original EXIF-Orientation number. The uploader had eyes O_O when put the 90° request and I haev yes O_O when i request 270° to correct the error. The bot needs not eyes, the bott needs to fulfil the request. --ŠJů (talk) 18:39, 29 September 2016 (UTC)

@ŠJů: Sorry, it has been rotated as requested. It is a bug in media wiki, i filed it as https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T147015 for now. Open the file in RAW in your browser (not with a gallery tool) and you will see it is completely different from the file hosted here (test it with the first file version).

Which means: In fact the file does not require a rotation at all, mediawiki is rotating it wrong. When opening it in fullscreen it is rotated yet. --Steinsplitter (talk) 18:44, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
