Colour-correction on this, please![edit]
- Request
- Remove blue cast, add yellow component to colourise to make background vegetation natural green, while retaining foreground dead twigs as grey-buff (I already tried playing with it in photoshop, but couldn't get anything natural-looking!). - MPF (talk) 12:49, 23 July 2016 (UTC)
- Graphist opinion(s)
There is no color cast, but it's a deliberately derivative work and doesn't meet the essential requirements for a good image. Sorry for my harsh judgment. Regardless best regards, MagentaGreen (talk) 21:27, 25 July 2016 (UTC)
Mismatching pair of frames in a gif[edit]
Note the "Perrow" parameter as well as the following template is not used on Commons.

|Green_heron_neck_stretch_frame_2.gif|2. frame
}}

- Re-align frames so it doesn't jump with each frame, if possible, please! - MPF (talk) 11:04, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
- Graphist opinion(s)
The background of the frames is a little bit transformed to suit each other and the second frame is slightly rotated. But that is not enough for smooth playback. The animation results with only two frames a horrible wriggling. Instead of an animated GIF I would embed the frames as in the example above. Regards, MagentaGreen (talk) 11:37, 7 August 2016 (UTC)
- @MPF: I did something and uploaded it to a test file. Please upload over the other gif or to a new file if you like it. If the image has changed, just scroll down the file history. btw: thanks for categorizing all those bird images I upload!!! Amada44 talk to me 11:17, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
Photos of a white sheet are grey[edit]
The images (created by an unknown artist in magazine "El Cascabel", in Lima, Peru) reflect the fiscal crisis in Peru, 1872. I want to put it in (en:User:Keysanger/sandbox9) an article (in spe) about the Saltpeter Monopoly.
- Request
- On the book the sheets were white, but the images are grey. Can you make it clearer (again)? How did you it?. Thanks in advance, --Keysanger 11:53, 21 August 2016 (UTC)

Please restore the white area in upper right[edit]
Article(s): Canadian Northern Railway
- Request
- Please rebuild the white section in the upper right (removing it or cloning from below, using the rest of the vehicle as a guide). It's a wooden railway caboose. --Oaktree b (talk) 02:15, 30 August 2016 (UTC)

Done I removed it but I removed the Window too as it would have been difficult to reconstruct it. revert if you don't like it. Amada44 talk to me 11:58, 30 August 2016 (UTC)

- Please create a better crop of the USS Vandalia (1828) from the large version of the image (above). Thanks. -- KAVEBEAR (talk) 00:09, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
- Graphist opinion(s)
- While a crop can be made from File:The Navy-Yard at Brooklyn, New York, June, 1861 - NH 59308.tiff the quality is so poor and unsharp it hardly seem worthwhile. I think it would be better to use a crop from the original source that File:USS Vandalia (1828) sketch.jpg comes from as the quality is better though not a high resolution. I've done that and can upload it later. However, neither seem to be a satisfactory solution; a better source would be preferable. @KAVEBEAR: please respond. - I only just noticed this request here. I had already seen your request at w:WP:GL/PHOTO and uploaded a version. However, Ww2censor is correct that no real improvement could be made using the tiff. I used the original source given on the file page, not having seen your preference here. The result is an improvement, but not stellar - a better source would obviously be preferable. I'm not entirely sure why you don't like the idea of using this slightly improved version until/unless a better source is found, but, as I noted on the upload, please feel very free to revert if you don't prefer this version. --Begoon - talk 00:13, 23 September 2016 (UTC)

- Grateful if you could remove the frame; any remedies for the smears and reflections would be as welcome as they would be miraculous. thanks --Tagishsimon (talk) 08:07, 1 October 2016 (UTC)

This might be a bit too "aggressive", but see what you think. --Begoon - talk 11:09, 1 October 2016 (UTC)
- With no disrespect meant to Catherine Eliza, you cannot make a silk purse from a sow's ear. That's very very much better than it was, thank you, Begoon, and I'm in your debt. I'll be using your image as my next action. --Tagishsimon (talk) 12:11, 1 October 2016 (UTC)
David Lester Richardson[edit]
Article: w:David Lester Richardson
- Request
- Grateful if you could remove the grubby marks on the right border of this image, as well as any other spotting marks you see (there's one above the bookcase, one above the chair-back). Ideally load the new image as a new version of this one. thanks --Tagishsimon (talk) 00:33, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
- Graphist opinion(s)
I uploaded to a jpg, because png thumbnails sometimes "blur" a bit with Mediawiki software, and there's no transparency to worry about.
If you think the cleanup on the right is too much, there's a less "aggressive" version in the file history you can revert to. --Begoon - talk 06:21, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you again, Begoon. Very happy with the retouched image, which is now being used. --Tagishsimon (talk) 08:54, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
